Gingerbread City

The 30th Anniversary Gingerbread City Gala is coming on December 6, at the San Diego Natural History Museum. This festive celebration will feature a renowned gingerbread competition, auctions, interactive exhibits, dinner, and awards. Mark your calendars for this exciting event!

 

San Diego Parade of Lights

This year’s 53rd Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights is scheduled for December 10 and 17, with the theme “Christmas Traditions around the World.” Over 80 beautifully adorned boats will light up San Diego Bay, attracting over 100,000 spectators along the waterfront.

 

Lightscape

Experience the magic of Lightscape through January 1, 2024. With new installations and beloved classics, this one-mile garden trail combines nature and art, creating a dazzling nighttime spectacle at the San Diego Botanci Garden. Secure your tickets and parking early, as last year saw most nights sold out. Join the festivities and be enchanted!

 

Noel Noel

Join Noel and friends as they embark on a heartwarming quest for Santa’s magic. Featuring guest vocalist Devin DeSantis, the San Diego Symphony Orchestra presents a festive concert led by conductor Christopher Dragon. Enjoy classic Christmas tunes, sing-alongs, and holiday treats!

 

The Magic of Bubbles

On Saturday, December 2, 2023, La Jolla Music Society will host a captivating performance by Italian clown and actor Michele Cafaggi at the JAI. Known for his innovative giant bubble technique, Michele has traveled the world, bringing joy to audiences in various settings.

Danitza Villanueva
Danitza Villanueva was born in San Diego but spent her youth with her family in Tijuana and grew up on both sides of the border. She has transferred her unique insight of cross-border culture, trends and philanthropy to her business and community interests. Danitza attended high school at The Academy of Our Lady of Peace and became the first woman from her family to graduate from college. She has two degrees, one from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Fashion Marketing, and a second from San Diego Christian College in Communications. After starting GB Magazine with Esteban Villanueva in 2007, she has gone on to win awards and recognition from the community for her support of helping raise millions of dollars non-profit organizations. Currently she sits on the Board of Directors of the Academy of Our Lady of Peace and resides in East County in San Diego where she and her husband Esteban run DAESVI Publishing, home to GB Magazine, among several other publications.
