Honoring the Visionaries of Flight

The 2024 International Air & Space Hall of Fame

This November, the San Diego Air & Space Museum will once again open its doors to celebrate the trailblazers whose groundbreaking achievements propel humanity to new heights.

Since its inception, the International Air & Space Hall of Fame has been a beacon of inspiration, recognizing the extraordinary contributions of individuals and organizations, which have reshaped the landscape of aviation and space exploration. From legendary astronauts and daring test pilots to visionary engineers and innovative companies, the Hall of Fame stands as a testament to the relentless pursuit of excellence and the enduring spirit of adventure.

The 2024 induction ceremony promises to be an unforgettable evening, filled with stories of courage, innovation and perseverance. This year’s class of inductees includes a diverse array of pioneers whose work has left an indelible mark on the industry. Among them, we are thrilled to announce Boom Supersonic, the company at the forefront of commercial supersonic travel, has been selected for its revolutionary advancements.

Boom Supersonic is redefining the future of air travel with its groundbreaking Overture aircraft, designed to make commercial supersonic flight a reality once again and transform the way we connect with one another. The Overture, capable of flying at speeds of Mach 1.7, cuts travel times in half, making it possible to fly from New York to London in just over three hours. This remarkable achievement is a testament to Boom’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible and reigniting the dream of faster-than-sound travel.

Other esteemed inductees for 2024 include the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS), which plays a pivotal role in promoting safety and excellence in air shows worldwide; the United Launch Alliance (ULA), recognized for their significant contributions to space launch services and exploration; and Katherine Johnson, whose mathematical genius and pivotal role at NASA were made famous in the 2016 film “Hidden Figures.” These honorees exemplify the innovative spirit and dedication driving the aerospace industry forward.

The 2024 Hall of Fame induction ceremony is held at the San Diego Air & Space Museum in Balboa Park. The evening features a captivating program, including the induction of this year’s honorees and a glimpse into the future of aviation and space exploration. Guests have the opportunity to meet and mingle with aerospace legends and enjoy fine dining with proceeds benefiting the museum’s educational programs and exhibits.

Whether you are in the field of aerospace, an admirer, or a supporter of the museum, we invite you to join us in celebrating the achievements which have shaped our past and the innovations defining our future.
