Mark your calendars! On Monday, September 9, 2024, the Arc San Diego Foundation is hosting their Annual Charity Golf Tournament at La Valle Coastal Club & Resort. The annual golf tournament has been a remarkable success for the past 31 years, raising millions of dollars to benefit children and adults with disabilities receiving services from The Arc of San Diego.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast for golfers to enjoy before the shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. Players will then enjoy 18 holes of golf on the scenic course in Rancho Santa Fe. Also included is a delicious lunch and swag bag. Immediately following tournament is the awards reception, including drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction.
The tournament chair is Tim Himstreet, Arc San Diego Foundation Board Member, and Paul La Bounty, Chairperson of the Arc San Diego Foundation, is also helping lead the event.
Proceeds from the tournament will provide holiday gifts for children and adults with disabilities, funding for wheelchair accessible vans, and support for Our Place, The Arc of San Diego’s wellness program that provides adaptive yoga, fitness, nutrition and wellness classes.
As one of the largest, most comprehensive service providers for people with disabilities in the region, The Arc of San Diego annually serves 2,000 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome throughout San Diego County.
