Resounding Joy is one of the only nonprofits in California dedicated to transforming lives through the healing power of music therapy. Resounding Joy utilizes clinical and evidence-based interventions that support each client’s social, cognitive, emotional, motor, physiologic, physical, and mental health goals. Resounding Joy’s board-certified therapists serve people of all ages from premature infants to those receiving end-of-life care in settings that are emotionally and financially accessible. Kerri Fox is the Executive Director and CEO of Resounding Joy.
#1 I grew up in Los Alamitos, California. My mom was an incredible role model, and her support and guidance shaped who I am today. Her strength, wisdom, and humor taught me the importance of integrity, resilience, and kindness in every aspect of life.
#2 My favorite travel destination is London – I love its history, theater scene, and the endless places to explore. I would love to visit Greece, Italy, and Ireland- all three hold special meaning for me since my grandparents were from there.
#3 I was an extra on an episode of Golden Girls where Dick Van Dyke was the guest star – not only did I get to meet the cast, but I got to shake his hand!
#4 My favorite movie is It’s a Wonderful Life. I love its timeless message about the impact one person can have and the importance of friends and kindness.

#6 For me, the best way to decompress is to put on some music, take a walk along the beach, and maybe follow that up with a nice glass of wine.
#7 I am rediscovering the piano after not playing since my early teens, with a bucket list goal of one day being able to sit down and sight-read just about anything!
#8 I believe giving back to the community is one of the most powerful ways to bring people together and create lasting change. Each act of helping others creates a ripple effect of kindness and growth, touching lives in ways we may never fully see but that ultimately make the world a better place.
#9 I joined Resounding Joy as Executive Director because it offered an incredible opportunity to bring my years of for-profit and non-profit experience to support a truly meaningful mission. I am passionate about the healing power of music and inspired by the impactful work our music therapists do to uplift so many people in our community.
