Rendezvous In The Zoo, or the R·I·T·Z as many call it, cell-ebrated 50 years of their Wildlife Biodiversity Bank’s Frozen Zoo and looked ahead to its limitless potential for saving wildlife. The groundbreaking Frozen Zoo is the world’s first and most extensive collection of its kind. Over the last five decades, teams have banked over 11,400 living cell lines, including oocytes, sperm, and embryos, preserving them in tanks of liquid nitrogen. This invaluable resource for conservation, reproductive science, evolutionary biology, and wildlife medicine has already made a difference for many species. And the party itself was over the top: well-dressed guests in animal print, animal ambassadors, performers, great food and amazing ambiance. Among those attending were David Malcolm, Rolf Benirschke, Jathan Segur, Michael Behner, Justin Scarpetti, Larissa Tucker, Willie Tucker Jr, Adam Day, Cami Rosso, Caroline Wohl, Denny Sanford, Fred Link, Kimberly Simpson, Kristi Pieper, Maggie Watkins, Martha Dennis, and Roxi Link.
