Flower Fields:
March 1 kicks off the transformation of the local hillsides into a living rainbow and a sea of color at the world’s largest ranunculus flower field. The season runs through May 1 and offers an expanded Butterfly Encounter with exotic butterflies to vendor pop-ups, the Glass & Flight exhibit, and of course the iconic Flower Fields, there is so much to look forward to in Carlsbad.
Cherry Blossom Festival :
Celebrate Spring at the annual Japanese Friendship Garden & Museums Cherry Blossom Festival from March 12-15. Come see new attractions, including a wall of lanterns and community art. Sample a variety of cultural food or the popular beer and sake garden and then take a leisurely stroll through the cherry blossom grove.
Freedom Dogs :
On March 23 tee off with Freedom Dogs as they celebrate 20 years of empowering wounded warriors through the life-changing partnership of service dogs and their handlers. Enjoy a great day of golf, camaraderie, and the chance to meet the incredible Freedom Dogs.
San Diego Crew Classic :
The San Diego Crew Classic is the premier spring rowing regatta in the United States. From March 27-29 the Crew Classic will bring together athletes and spectators for an outstanding combination of action-packed competition, San Diego’s finest food and beer, and on Sunday the Classic Brunch By the Bay at the iconic Crown Point venue on Mission Bay. www.crewclassic.org
