Our Story
When our son Mitchell became sick at age 13, doctors could not find a diagnosis. We faced years of hospital visits, bills, and heartbreak. At 18, Mitchell passed away.
During those years, our Carlsbad community came together to help us. They raised money and lifted our family up when we needed it most. After seeing such kindness, we decided to give back. That’s how the Mitchell Thorp Foundation Carlsbad was born.
