One of the greatest bands of all time, Kool & the Gang, performed at the Promises2Kids Dream On Concert gala. Promises2Kids CEO Tonya Torosian welcomed supporters to an extraordinary evening featuring a sunset cocktail reception, elegant dinner as they enjoyed listening to classic hits and groovy jams. The gala was attended by Thad Kahlow, Councilman Raul Campillo, David Malcolm, Whitney Moser, Nastasha Mckeon, Joan Waitt, Stephanie Kourie, Kayla Valencia, Julia Walton, Mojdeh Razi, Devan Sullivan, Annie Malcolm, Karla Torosian, Kristi Pieper, Lidia S. Martinez, Lisa Arnold, Marc Chase, Marjan Mortazavi, MJ Wittman, Nancy Rohland, Raegan Prior, Steve Schneider, and Sydney Holland, who all joined in supporting the mission. The gala raised funds to continue the mission of creating a brighter future for foster children. The elegantly dressed crowds always look forward to this highlight of the summer gala season

Esteban Villanueva was born in Washington D.C. and raised in La Jolla. He attended both Francis Parker and The Bishop’s School locally before going to Dartmouth College where he received his B.S. in Biology and Pepperdine School of Law where he received his J.D. focusing Entertainment Law. He worked in the Latin music industry where his projects went on to win 14 Grammy Awards for artists including Ricky Martin and Carlos Santana. After starting GB Magazine with Danitza Villanueva in 2007, he has gone on to win awards and recognition from the community for his support of helping raise millions of dollars for non-profit organizations. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Air & Space Museum and resides in East County in San Diego where he and his wife Danitza run DAESVI Publishing, home to GB Magazine, among several other publications.
