“Some beautiful paths can’t be discovered without getting lost.”
– Erol Ozan

Wheelhouse is “San Diego Made and Proud,” providing a full suite of consumer banking services and a comprehensive set of Energy-Efficient and Solar Loan products for the conscientious San Diegan. The Credit Union is not only committed to helping its Members succeed, but also supporting initiatives that help San Diego thrive. Steven Peterson is the Community Relations Officer for Wheelhouse Credit Union.

#1 Steven Peterson was born and raised in Chula Vista.
#2 I enjoy hiking, movies and traveling as often as possible.
#3 Tokyo, Japan is a place I do not think I would ever tire of visiting.
#4 It has always been a dream of mine to travel around China and see The Great Wall. And it is on my bucket list to one day travel to the Arctic.
#5 I have completed two full marathons (San Diego and San Francisco), which if you know me, is a huge accomplishment because I am not a runner by any stretch of the imagination.

#6 I am a Sci-Fi nerd. “Seveneves” by Neal Stephenson was a fun read.
#7 I really love the movie “Baby Driver”. Great soundtrack.
#8 My late grandmother is someone whom I have always admired. She immigrated to the United States from Mexico and raised four kids on her own after the unexpected passing of my grandfather. My grandmother always stressed the importance of a hard work ethic and being kind to people. I know she helped shape the person that I am today.
#9 I love San Diego and want to keep it beautiful for generations to come. I also believe it is important to help uplift communities that have less and help them reach their full potential. My hope is that I am inspiring others to want to give back and help others too.
#10 Steven Peterson started working for Wheelhouse Credit Union as a kid in the Facilities department. Through the years, I have been afforded opportunities to learn and grow with the Credit Union, including being a part of its long legacy of giving back to the Community.
