VCA Animal Hospital was founded in 1986 with the purpose of helping and making a positive impact on pets and people. They have since grown into a national network of hometown hospitals providing specialty care, primary care, emergency and urgent care, and boarding care. They have expanded offering VCA Pet CancerCare Centers throughout the country. There are over 1,000 pet hospitals with various locations throughout San Diego County.

Services Offered:

VCA Animal Hospital services include preventive wellness and sick care, early disease detection and vaccines, parasite control, canine and feline diabetes, internal medicine, laser therapy, spay and neuter, micro-chipping, dentistry, digital x-rays, ultrasound, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, MRI, for pets of all ages. They also offer boarding and grooming.

VCA Animal Hospital does not certify its veterinarians but for them to be a part of the team they must be licensed by the state veterinary board and have graduated from an accredited veterinary school and pass the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination to practice veterinary medicine.
