North Park Music Fest
This event on May 27 – 28 has everything North Park has to offer, including stunning artwork, delicious craft beer and cocktails, and plenty of photo opportunities.

 

Fiesta del Sol
Get ready for a fun-filled weekend at the 42nd Annual Beachside Music Festival on May 20 – 21. Dubbed Southern California’s “best free festival,” this event offers a variety of activities such as food trucks, specialty vendors, and arts and crafts.

 

Tijuana Jazz Festival
Set to be held on May 28, the Tijuana Jazz Festival is a celebration of the city’s artistic spirit. Hosted by the Promotora de Cultura de Baja California, the festival offers attendees an immersive experience that celebrates the best of local and international talent.

 

Vista Strawberry Festival
May 28th commemorates the 12th anniversary of the Vista Strawberry Festival! Come and indulge in all the delicious Strawberry treats and pay homage to this beloved fruit in all its forms.

 

Gator by the Bay
From May 11 – 14, experience four days of non-stop live music, with over 100 musical acts and special performances on seven stages. Presented by San Diego’s Bon Temps Social Club, this festival is perfect for the whole family with southern cuisine, including 10,000 pounds of crawfish from Louisiana!

Danitza Villanueva
Danitza Villanueva was born in San Diego but spent her youth with her family in Tijuana and grew up on both sides of the border. She has transferred her unique insight of cross-border culture, trends and philanthropy to her business and community interests. Danitza is the first woman from her family to graduate from college. She has two degrees, one from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Fashion Marketing, and a second from San Diego Christian College in Communications. After starting GB Magazine with Esteban Villanueva in 2007, she has gone on to win awards and recognition from the community for her support of helping raise millions of dollars for non-profit organizations. Currently she resides in East County in San Diego where she and her husband Esteban run DAESVI Publishing, home to GB Magazine, among several other publications.
