Temecula Valley Wine Country

Share

The Temecula Valley Wineries are recognized as the “Jewel” of Southern California. The planting of these wineries began in 1968, where the first wines produced were from Brookside in their Cucamonga Winery. In 1974, Callaway Winery marked the beginning of winemaking in the Temecula Valley.

Due to the local micro-climate, the valley produces some of the finest wine and wine grapes in the world including cool climate grapes such as Riesling, moderate climate Bordeaux varieties and warmer climate Mediterranean varieties including Syrah.

The wines reflect the exceptional diversity of the region and collection in grape varieties to make the wine tasting experience very special.

Many of the Temecula Valley Wineries offer daily guided tours with transportation, or if you desire, self-guided. You will enjoy the backdrop of beautiful rolling hills and mountains with acreage of substantial wine grapes. You can visit over 30 small, intimate, family owned wineries and taste over 50 different varieties each with their own style of exceptional wines.

It is quite possible that you will run into the owner or a winemaker! Open 7 days a week, each winery offers a different experience including restaurants, overnight facilities and luxury rentals. The Ponte Vineyard Inn is a Spanish mission style resort rated #1 in Temecula.

The Carter Estate Winery and Resort offers spacious Mediterranean inspired bungalows and is surrounded by vineyards, or you can visit the Wilson Creek Manor an exclusive retreat with customized personal packages. After visiting the wineries, you can also choose a balloon flight over the Temecula Valley Wine Country, a horseback ride or spend the day relaxing at the spa.

With all of the wineries sharing in common a friendly, personable and exceptional wine experience, a visit to the wineries makes for a perfect ESCAPADITA.
