The 118 Islands of Tahiti form an archipelago that are a treasure trove of islands, volcanic peaks, white sandy beaches, turquoise lagoons and lush secret valleys all offering breathtaking landscapes. We flew from LAX direct to Papeete, the capital of Capital of French Polynesia. We then embarked on Oceana Cruises Nautica, the ultimate small ship for our adventures. Nautica seamlessly blends sophistication with casual elegance creating a perfect environment of luxury balanced with adventure. Nautica is renowned for having the Finest Cuisine at Sea, and with fresh fish, fruits and produce sourced locally on every island, we could not agree more.

Our first stop Moorea, an island encircled by a coral reef that shelters the island and marine-life, Moorea is the perfect place for watersports. We enjoyed snorkeling with a diversity of marine life such as stingrays, white tip reef sharks and countless tangs, triggerfish and butterflyfish. We then sailed to the next island, Fakarava which is an atoll is in the Tuamotu Islands of French Polynesia, a UNESCO designated biosphere reserve due to its exceptional ecological value and biodiversity.

The next stop was Nuku Hiva, the capital of the Marquesa Islands. The island offers rugged scenery with breathtaking views, deep valleys, majestic waterfalls, and lush green mountains that plunge directly into the ocean.

The most breathtaking lagoon in the French Polynesia is the Blue Lagoon in Rangiroa. The lagoon is surrounded by palm tree-covered islets bordering the natural pool. Here we snorkeled with blacktip reef sharks in the surrounding waters of the islets, which was an unforgettable and exhilarating experience.

We then venture into the hidden wonders of Bora Bora. This incredible turquoise lagoon is paradise also known as the “Pearl of the Pacific.” Here we enjoyed snorkeling, relaxing and lunch in the warm water of the lagoon as we sat at tables in the water surrounded by rays and fish that swam between our legs.

Raiatea is the birthplace of the Polynesian civilization. The island offers untamed nature of its mountainous interior contrasts with the idyllic scenery of its coast.

With crystal-clear lagoons, soft sandy beaches, culture, Tahiti is the perfect place to create unforgettable memories making it a perfect ESCAPADITA.
