This year’s Symphony at Salk concert under the stars featured the sensational sounds of the San Diego Symphony together with special guest Jennifer Hudson. The event celebrated the 50th anniversary of Salk’s Cancer Center and the many life-changing discoveries its researchers have produced over these decades. As the sun set, the art of Françoise Gilot, wife of the founder of the Institute, Jonas Salk, who died in June at the age of 101, was projected onto the walls of the Institute making for an unforgettable sight.
