You are the reason 2026 is looking brighter than ever for San Diego Automotive Museum!

NASCAR: Design and Innovation launched with over 200 guests attending the VIP opening. Guests explored NASCAR’s evolution from classic stock cars to the cutting-edge Next Gen machines redefining the sport. This immersive exhibit puts you inches from legendary vehicles and the technology behind them. This world-class exhibit ends Saturday, February 21.

Formula One Stories, our next innovative exhibit, delves into some of Formula One’s most thrilling races, such as the 1968 German Grand Prix at Nürburgring, and storied racers including Fangio, Ascari, Senna, Schumacher, and Verstappen. Register now for the VIP launch on February 28. Spring Break Camps begin in March with Kindergarten-2nd grade campers learning transportation basics, simple road rules, how cars move, stay safe, and become responsible community members. 3rd -5th grade campers will explore automotive and road system history while learning how a car functions and runs. Campers will have the opportunity to assemble a model engine! Each session is limited to 15 campers. Registration is now open!

Our annual Shifting Cars Rally unites car enthusiasts and community members on a scenic drive through San Diego’s picturesque wine country. The event kicked off at IGNITE Academy – Santee Campus and concluded at the scenic Bates Nut Farm, blending the thrill of a rally, a poker run, and a vibrant car show. The Third Annual Cruising For Drivers Charity Golf Tournament welcomes golf enthusiasts and automotive aficionados alike to support the San Diego Automotive Museum in an unforgettable day of fun and philanthropy. The charity event will feature 18-holes, a shotgun start, and a fun scramble format. Whether you are a seasoned golfer or just looking for a fun day on the greens, this tournament is designed for all skill levels. Register today to join us on Monday, May 18.

More than 400 guests sold out “Party In the Park” and transformed Balboa Park into a night of elegance, excitement, and celebration. Inspired by the thrill of the Grand Prix, guests came together to raise over $850,000 in support of the Museum’s growth and education initiatives.

The Roaring ’20s returns on September 26, inviting guests to step into an evening of glamour, innovation, and celebration. Guests will enjoy a gourmet seated dinner paired with exquisite wines while mingling under the stars in true Jazz Age style. The night will feature live and silent auctions, with exclusive items and curated experiences available only to gala attendees. Proceeds will support the San Diego Automotive Museum and the IGNITE Academy, advancing hands-on education, mentorship, and career pathways for San Diego’s youth.

Danitza Villanueva
Danitza Villanueva was born in San Diego but spent her youth with her family in Tijuana and grew up on both sides of the border. She has transferred her unique insight of cross-border culture, trends and philanthropy to her business and community interests. Danitza is the first woman from her family to graduate from college. She has two degrees, one from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Fashion Marketing, and a second from San Diego Christian College in Communications. After starting GB Magazine with Esteban Villanueva in 2007, she has gone on to win awards and recognition from the community for her support of helping raise millions of dollars for non-profit organizations. Currently she resides in East County in San Diego where she and her husband Esteban run DAESVI Publishing, home to GB Magazine, among several other publications.
