NRG Entertainment is a world renown entertainment company with bands, dueling pianos, greeters, stringed instrument musicians, floor show dancers, theme productions and an in-house audio-visual department. This incredible entertainment company has performed across the globe from Dubai to London, to Bora Bora, to the Canary Islands! NRG has performed with Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, and Chicago to name a few. They have opened for such stars as Billy Joel, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5 and Jay Leno. NRG has had the great honor of partnering for premier philanthropic organizations including Las Patronas, Patrons of the Prado, Rady Children’s Hospital, the San Diego Zoo, and the International Red Cross, among many others both here in San Diego and throughout the nation.
NRG Entertainment was formed by Kymm and Andy Salmonsen who met in Ramona. Shortly after high school they began dating and working together as a duo, performing throughout San Diego at age 19. Kymm came from Las Vegas where she had performed in a touring high school vocal group and band, and Andy grew up playing keyboards, excelling in orchestral composition.
Over the years, Kymm and Andy expanded and turned NRG into one of the leading entertainment companies in the country. They began creating theme shows, such as their Decades and USO shows, and travelling the world for Fortune 100 companies, heads of state, presidential inaugurations, and even a princess! Now, their son Landon has joined them on stage singing and playing guitar while studying business and music at SDSU, and their 13-year-old daughter Lyric recently made her debut singing on stage for an event in Niagara Falls. This talented family is surrounded by the most talented entertainers in southern California, NRG’s performances constantly bring down the house and pack the dance floor! From dance band to orchestra, to their phenomenal theme productions, NRG has a core of dedicated entertainers who have worked together for years to create a bond on stage that is unparalleled. NRG also continues to feature great new vocalists and musicians that keep their stage energy fresh and new, with a high energy connection to their audiences like no other group.
When Kymm, Andy, Landon and Lyric are not on stage together, you will usually find them at their beautiful home in Jamul where they have created a peaceful paradise that includes homes on their property for both Andy and Kymm’s mothers, 90-year-old Oklahoma “Grammy” and 76-year-old Italian “Nonnie.”
