Miracle Babies: Supporting NICU Families with Care and Connection

Share

Miracle Babies is a non-profit organization based in San Diego dedicated to helping perinatal mothers and their families during their time of need by providing transportation, mental health assistance and supportive services. Their tagline, “Together for a better beginning,” reflects the importance of this family connection in the critical early weeks and months of an infants’ life and the mental well-being of the mother.

The organization offers free transportation services, mental health support, care packages and supportive services for parents with babies admitted in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) and moms with complicated pregnancies. Although babies and moms are receiving an extremely high level of care, it is an emotionally taxing experience for parents. Even during the most difficult of times, Miracle Babies aspires to let NICU families know that they are not alone.

Miracle Mom Krista shared with GB Magazine, “Miracle Babies is amazing, the drivers are more than drivers – they show sympathy, care and love of what they are doing for us parents.”

Each year, Miracle Babies supports over 8,000 families through their programs and sees continued growth of their reach to families in need. As a non-profit organization, Miracle Babies relies on philanthropy and funds raised at events such as their annual 5K Walk/Run on Sunday, May 7th, 2023, and Boogie4Babies Saturday, October 14th, 2023, at the Belly Up.

Your support makes a difference. If you would like to make a tribute gift this Mother’s Day in honor of your mom, or in honor of a current NICU mom, please visit: www.miraclebabies.org/donate
