Chaired by Board Member Chris Birchby and Adrienne Birchby, the theme at this year’s MCASD Gala was “Currents.” Contemporary art is a transformative force moving us to think and feel things in new ways, much as ocean currents direct the flow of water from one place to another. Attendees, including Ammar Campa Najjar, Becky Moores, Cami Rosso, Pietro La Greca, Kathryn Kanjo, Catriona Jamieson, Pradeep Khosla, Patty Maysent, Ryan Herrell, Kimberly Herrell, Sara Jacobs, Ava Tronoski, Kiev Moores, Bruno Meli, Dennise Pentecostes, Conor Nolen, Jennifer Nelson, Michelle La Greca, and Scott Peters, enjoyed an exhilarating evening overlooking the shimmering waves in La Jolla as they celebrated contemporary art, artists, and their impact on the community.
