Lucky Duck Foundation Raises $3M at Showcase Soirée

The Lucky Duck Foundation recently hosted their Showcase Soirée where more than $3 million in new program investments to prevent and alleviate homelessness was announced. The evening also honored the late philanthropic icons Peter Seidler and Bill Walton, who both worked closely with the nonprofit. The evening was an entertainment and variety show hosted by commentator Peter Jacobsen along with sportscaster Neil Everett and featured live music, a live auction, awards ceremony, magic show, surf and turf dinner, open bars, many heartwarming stories, and much more.

Notable attendees included Stephanie Sitto, Sheel Seidler, Ellen Moxham, Hannah Nancarrow Woods, Dan Shea, Shaina Gross, Jennifer Axelrod, Kelley Towers, Darren Reinke, Heather Schuster, Jim Moxham, Shanti Seidler, Tom Seidler, whose presence further highlighted the community’s commitment to addressing homelessness.

Esteban Villanueva
Esteban Villanueva was born in Washington D.C. and raised in La Jolla. He attended both Francis Parker and The Bishop’s School locally before going to Dartmouth College where he received his B.S. in Biology and Pepperdine School of Law where he received his J.D. focusing Entertainment Law. He worked in the Latin music industry where his projects went on to win 14 Grammy Awards for artists including Ricky Martin and Carlos Santana. After starting GB Magazine with Danitza Villanueva in 2007, he has gone on to win awards and recognition from the community for his support of helping raise millions of dollars for non-profit organizations. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Air & Space Museum and resides in East County in San Diego where he and his wife Danitza run DAESVI Publishing, home to GB Magazine, among several other publications.
