A passionate drama unfolds in director Manolo Caro’s film, La Vida Inmoral de la Pareja Ideal (The Immoral Life of the Ideal Couple). The film follows the tale of rekindled forbidden love between Martina and Lucio. Once high school sweethearts, the pair are caught up in the nostalgia of their high school love story twenty-five years later, despite their current family lives.
Cecilia Suárez and Ximena Romo respectively capture Matina’s love for Lucio as a grown woman and as a seventeen-year-old high school student. Their performances are perfectly complimented by Manuel García-Rulfo and Sebastián Aguirre who provide exceptional performances as Lucio at forty-two and seventeen. A well-selected cast breathe life into the colorful supporting characters.
The director focused on using music to build upon the story’s passionate storyline and youthful tone. Musical talent was provided by Caifanes, Duncan Dhu, Radio Futura, and Alaska y Dinarama. La Vida Inmoral de la Pareja Ideal was recently previewed at the San Diego Latino Film Festival to an audience that was unable to resist being swept up in the romance of Martina and Lucio. With a consuming story line, enjoyable music, and excellent acting talent, the film is an absolute must see.
