Karla Torosian Leading Redbone Recruiting in Purpose-Driven Hiring

Share

Karla Torosian, CEO of Redbone Recruiting, has brought a fresh approach to the recruitment industry by putting people and purpose at the center of her company’s work. Redbone Recruiting in not just about filling vacancies; it is about connecting talent with organizations that prioritize equity, inclusion, and meaningful impact. Under Karla’s leadership, Redbone has become known for its commitment to sustainable growth, helping organizations build inclusive, people-centered cultures from the inside out.

Karla founded Redbone Recruiting with the belief that recruitment could do more than simply meet headcount needs. Instead, she envisioned it as a platform for fostering community engagement, mentorship, and nonprofit partnerships. This approach has led to a unique process that not only serves the hiring needs of mission-driven organizations but also supports candidates in finding positions where they can grow, thrive, and make a difference. Redbone’s approach is simple: they look beyond resumes, connecting with candidates and understanding the impact they want to make so they can help them find roles that align with their values and goals.

This philosophy also shapes how Redbone works with organizations. Recently, an organization approached Redbone to help fill an HR Director position. However, as the discussions unfolded, it became clear that this organization was looking for something more transformational – a leader who could redefine the employee experience and infuse a values-driven culture throughout the organization. Rather than simply placing a candidate in the existing role, Karla’s team helped them envision a broader, more impactful position: a People, Culture, and Training Manager.

This new role encompassed culture-building, employee engagement, and talent growth, reflecting a shift toward a more holistic approach to people-centered practices. Within just a month, Redbone was able to help this organization identify a strong candidate who was not only qualified but also passionate about this vision, filling a role that had been open for nearly a year.

Karla’s commitment to creating a consultative, collaborative hiring process is at the core of what makes Redbone unique. She and her team work alongside nonprofit leadership to fully understand each organization’s goals, tailoring hiring efforts to help them build vibrant, purpose-driven workplaces. “We prioritize people over placements. Our success is measured by the impact we make – empowering candidates, advancing careers, and strengthening the organizations we serve,” Karla shared with GB Magazine. This dedication ensures that both employers and candidates are set up for success from day one, creating teams that work cohesively toward shared values and missions.

For Karla and her team, the ultimate goal is more than matching talent with organizations. Redbone Recruiting’s focus on empowering people through purpose-driven hiring has cemented its reputation as a valuable partner in the nonprofit world and beyond. Through every thoughtful hire, Karla Torosian is helping reshape the way organizations build and sustain inclusive, impactful teams, ensuring they not only grow but thrive in ways that make a difference.
