The San Diego Symphony kicks off its third holiday season at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park on December 15th, featuring three performances of the celebrated annual classic Noel Noel. The festive program features the San Diego Symphony Orchestra, San Diego Master Chorale, San Diego Children’s Choir, special guest vocalist Devin Desantis, and will be led once again by conductor Christopher Dragon and directed by Jonathan Gilmer of La Jolla Playhouse. Noel Noel will also feature a scripted story that follows a girl named Noel who searches for Santa (played by Desantis) and all the magical moments the spirit of the season brings. Performances will feature engaging holiday activations throughout the venue at Jacobs Park, including themed treats and drinks. Performances are December 15th, 16th and 17th with tickets starting at just $22!

To round out the holiday season offerings, the San Diego Symphony is excited to bring back Holiday Movies in Concert on December 23rd for Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in Concert featuring a screening of Disney’s timeless holiday classic with GRAMMY®-winning composer Danny Elfman’s musical score performed live to the film by the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. The concert will be led by conductor Thiago Tiberio. First released in 1993, the film, directed by Henry Selick (James and the Giant Peach) and based on a story and characters by Tim Burton, follows the earnest-but-misguided adventures of Jack Skellington, Halloweentown’s beloved Pumpkin King, as he attempts to take over the Christmas holiday. Against the advice of Sally, a lonely rag doll who has feelings for him, Jack enlists three mischievous trick-or-treaters – Lock, Shock, and Barrel – to help him kidnap Santa Claus. The film is rated “PG.”

Tickets for both Noel Noel and Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in Concert are now on sale at  http://www.TheShell.org
