An unforgettable evening of celebration, networking, and impact took place at The Foundation for Developmental Disabilities 2nd Annual Grantee Showcase at the San Diego Air & Space Museum. CEO Sitara Sethi gave a warm welcome to an inspiring evening honoring the remarkable achievements of the FDD Program Grant Recipients, whose dedication empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families across San Diego and Imperial Counties to live their best lives.

The event brought together community leaders, partners, and supporters, including Cindy Harris, Shahriar Afshar, Kasey Howell, Laura Bellizzi, Nevin Dursun, Maria Mingalone, Itzel Domduez, Linda Bay, Allie Sarnataro, Christen Freund, Annie Kesselhaut, Thomas Arthur, Heather Disher, Chloe Petch, Michael Harris, Gus Prentice, Jacqueline Riddell, Lesley Yuen, Kelsey Kenniston, Mark Klaus, Lucile Lynch, Tony Rubino, Tess Williams, Jim Kidrick, Maureen Simons, and Falon Leszczynski, all united in support of FDD’s mission and the organizations making a meaningful difference in the region.

Esteban Villanueva
Esteban Villanueva was born in Washington D.C. and raised in La Jolla. He attended both Francis Parker and The Bishop’s School locally before going to Dartmouth College where he received his B.S. in Biology and Pepperdine School of Law where he received his J.D. focusing Entertainment Law. He worked in the Latin music industry where his projects went on to win 14 Grammy Awards for artists including Ricky Martin and Carlos Santana. After starting GB Magazine with Danitza Villanueva in 2007, he has gone on to win awards and recognition from the community for his support of helping raise millions of dollars for non-profit organizations. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Air & Space Museum and resides in East County in San Diego where he and his wife Danitza run DAESVI Publishing, home to GB Magazine, among several other publications.
