Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration

Share

Dazzle your senses at this once-in-a-lifetime Diamond Celebration as the Disneyland Resort invites you to make memories like never before with all-new evening spectaculars, sparkling décor and much more. Ever since Disneyland Park opened on July 17, 1955, the Disneyland Resort has been an unforgettable destination for families.

We enjoyed a couple of days of festivities, soaking up the sights as iconic jewels we all know such as the Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park and Carthay Circle Theatre at Disney California Adventure Park magically transform, glistened and gleamed with special Diamond Celebration enhancements.

A glittering new new parade features Mickey and Minnie Mouse wearing brand-new ensembles in honor of the celebration and Tinker Bell using enchanted pixie dust to paint the night into an awesome evening experience. Over 1 million lights will be used to make our favorite characters glow. In honor of Disneyland’s 60th anniversary there an all new World of Color light show called Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney. Opening night was hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and Mickey Mouse, the show follows the journey of Walt Disney’s creations. Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland and Carthay Circle Theatre at Disney California Adventure Park are turned into the most sparkling and gleaming places. We enjoyed tasting brand-new food and drinks, including the Diamond Anniversary Cupcake, the Enchanted Cherry Apple Frozen Lemonade, and Frozen Pomegranate Silver Sparkler.

Since, the Disneyland Resort features two spectacular theme parks – Disneyland and the reimagined Disney California Adventure Park we stayed overnight at the luxurious Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. With our park ticket we took advantage of early admission through a convenient entrance to Disney’s California Adventure. We experienced dining at Napa Rose an award winning farm to table dinner.

It’s a celebration so big; one day simply isn’t enough to enjoy everything in store making it a perfect ESCAPADITA.
