An Evening of Changing Lives

Share

On the evening of Saturday, September 21, 2024, the Hilton San Diego Bayfront will transform into a realm of imagination as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego proudly host the 11th annual An Evening of Changing Lives. This gala not only honors the exceptional leadership of Tom Hazard with the prestigious 2024 Todd Gutschow Lifetime Leadership Award, but also invites guests to step into a world where their imaginations can foster real change.

For over eight decades, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego have been pivotal in shaping the futures of young people across the region. Currently, these clubs provide a vibrant and creative environment for over 22,000 youth across 23 sites in San Diego County. Here, young individuals are encouraged to paint their potential, excel academically, embrace healthy lifestyles, and develop strong character traits through imaginative and empowering programs.

This enchanting evening will gather more than 700 philanthropists, including Club donors and community leaders, who are committed to turning creative visions into tangible outcomes for the youth. The night will resonate with the vibrant performances of the Spirit of Earth, Wind & Fire, whose music will infuse the atmosphere with an infectious energy, compelling guests to dance and dream under the stars.

Every interaction this night – from the clinking of glasses to the laughter shared – serves to fund innovative programs like cooking classes, STEM activities, and sports, all of which harness the power of imagination to impact young lives positively. Celebrated as the Fundraising Event of the Year, this gala is not just an event but a portal to a world where imagination meets the mission of nurturing young minds and spirits.
