8 Decades of Changing Lives in San Diego
For 80 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego (BGCGSD) has been dedicated to creating a safe space for youth to learn, grow and harness the greatness they hold within. Through various programs, children ages 5-18 are inspired to lead healthy lifestyles, succeed academically and develop positive character. These values are instilled in youth throughout 19 community-based sites across San Diego County.
The organization invites you to Change Lives through their signature fundraising event, An Evening of Changing Lives. This special night brings together 700 Club donors and community members who provide crucial support. Their generous donations go directly toward programs and resources like cooking classes, STEM projects, and physical activities, allowing BGCGSD to impact over 8,000 youth positively.
An Evening of Changing Lives will occur on Saturday, September 10th, 2022, at the beautiful Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina Grand Ballroom. A silent and live auction will take place, featuring spectacular items like a classic 1960 Corvette and a private villa for 8 guests in Cabo San Lucas! Registered guests can bid on once-in-a-lifetime items in the silent auction up to two weeks before the event. The purchase of a ticket includes cocktails, a three-course dinner, and a live performance by the six-time Grammy-nominated vocal group, The Spinners. Dance and sing along to classics like “I’ll Be Around” and “Could It Be I’m Falling In Love.”

Durante 80 años, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego (BGCGSD) se ha dedicado a crear espacios seguros donde los jóvenes puedan aprender, crecer y aprovechar las grandezas que llevan en su interior. Gracias a varios programas, los jóvenes de entre 5 y 18 años son motivados a llevare adelante estilos de vida más sanos, buscar el éxito académico y desarrollar actitudes positivas. Estos valores son promovidos en ellos a través de 19 centros comunitarios ubicados dentro del condado de San Diego.
La organización los quiere invitar a cambiar vidas a través de su evento insignia recaudador fondos An Evening of Changing Lives, una noche especial donde se reúnen 700 donantes del club y miembros de la comunidad, todos fundamentales para lograr estos cambios en los jóvenes. An Evening of Changing Lives se realizará el sábado 10 de septiembre del 2022 en el hermoso salón de baile del Marriot Marquis San Diego Marina. Una subasta silenciosa y en vivo tendrá lugar esa noche, ¡con increíbles objetos como un Corvette clásico del 1960 y una estadía para 8 en una villa privada de Cabo Lucas!
