Foundation for the Children of the Californias Every Smile Tells a Story: Celebrating a Binational Promise

It starts with a single smile. A smile of strength after months of therapy. A smile of hope as a child takes their first confident steps toward a healthy future. A smile from a family finally finding care they feared was out of reach. At the Foundation for the Children of the Californias, these moments happen every day. For over 30 years, our mission has crossed borders, united communities, and brought world-class pediatric care to children in need, regardless of their family’s ability to pay.

From our home in the San Diego-Tijuana Mega Region, we partner with the Hospital Infantil de las Californias to provide expert care in more than twenty-five specialties – from cardiology and neurology to rehabilitation, behavioral health, and dental services. Our doctors, nurses, and therapists work in two languages and with one shared purpose: to give every child the healthy future they deserve. We build trusted partnerships with leading institutions and lead conversations that address pediatric health disparities on both sides of the border.

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, you can join in making that vision possible. Celebration for the Children: Every Smile Tells a Story is more than a gala – it is your opportunity to be part of the heart and hope behind every child’s recovery. You will hear powerful stories of resilience, see the direct impact of cross-border care, and know that your generosity is changing lives in real time.

Together, we can turn compassion into action, an evening into a legacy, and every smile into a story of hope.
