Wine & Wishes Gala

Welcome to Joy!

Make-A-Wish San Diego creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses in San Diego and Imperial Counties. Since its inception in 1983, the San Diego chapter has granted more than 4,800 wishes to children in the community. At Make-A-Wish, the goal is simple: provide children and their families with a life-affirming experience in the midst of a very challenging time.

From a young age, wish kid Ana’s artistic talent was evident. For that reason, it came to no surprise when she wished to become an artist. Like Ana, many wish kids use their imagination to cope with the realities of a critical illness, and their wish experience allows them to keep dreaming and focus on a positive future. A wish can shift the focus from hospital stays, treatments and surgeries. It opens up a world of possibilities – where the exciting anticipation of a wish-come-true helps wish kids believe in better days ahead.

The organization invites you to delve into a world of wonder and join Make-A-Wish San Diego for their posh and playful WINE & WISHES Gala. This year’s black-tie event will be at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar on Thursday, September 22, 2022. For one night, break free from a world consumed with schedules and to-do lists in favor of remembering the childlike wonder that embraces joy in the moment.

During the evening, guests will enjoy culinary delights and a limited selection of fine wines from California winemakers thanks to their event partner Meritage Wine Market. The evening will also include a hosted bar, seated dinner, live entertainment, dance floor and complimentary valet – all to benefit Make-A-Wish San Diego. Help bring every eligible child’s wish to life, because every child deserves a childhood.
