This year’s glowing celebration of color has been expanded to five weekends in October – Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (except October 30). So, get ready to enjoy some safe, family fun at this glittering and glimmering annual spectacular full of entertainment and interactive festivities! Ages 11 and younger enter free!

San Diego Opera – El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego (The Last Dream of Frida and Diego), will have its world premiere in San Diego on October 29, 2022. This breathtakingly beautiful opera tells the story of the impassioned and tumultuous relationship between iconic artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.

Hallo-Wine Fall Festival – The Hallo-Wine Fall Festival is back on October 22 at The Historic Burnham-Marston House in Balboa Park. All proceeds raised provide critical assistance to San Diego’s most vulnerable children and families through Home Start’s programs. Each day, Home Start staff serve on the front lines in the battle to prevent child abuse and ensure the safety of San Diego’s most vulnerable children and families.

Classics 4 Kids – Inspiring children through the experience of music, generating creativity, academic success, and cultural understanding. On October 2 they are toasting the 30th anniversary and Conductor Zimbric’s 20th season at their gala raising funds for the next season of empowering music education. Guests are encouraged support this special milestone by wearing their pearls which are the symbol of the 30th anniversary.
