Make-A-Wish San Diego | Bringing Joy to Children Since 1980

Share

Since 1980, Make-A-Wish San Diego has brought hope, strength, and joy to children with serious illnesses. We serve children in San Diego and Imperial Counties, helping them see their biggest dreams come true.

Every wish creates a moment of happiness that gives families strength and comfort during tough times.

The Make-A-Wish Story

Make-A-Wish began with the wish of a 7-year-old boy named Chris Greicius in Phoenix. Chris wanted to be a police officer, and his dream inspired a movement that would change lives across the world. Today, Make-A-Wish brings smiles and hope to children everywhere — one wish at a time.

Our San Diego Chapter

At Make-A-Wish San Diego, wishes begin right here in our community.
Our local team works with families, doctors, and volunteers to create unforgettable experiences for children. Whether it’s meeting a hero, visiting a dream place, or becoming something special for a day — each wish is filled with joy and magic.

Since our start, we’ve granted thousands of wishes across San Diego and Imperial Counties.
