Since 1946, the all-volunteer members of Las Patronas have worked tirelessly to support San Diego’s nonprofits. Through our thoughtful grant process, Las Patronas funds critically needed capital items to organizations providing a wide spectrum of social, medical, cultural and environmental services that encompass every corner of San Diego County.
Nonprofits that qualify for funding have been thoroughly vetted by a team of on-site interviewers who have reviewed their missions, financial statements, and proposals. This careful examination ensures the funds will be used responsibly and in such a way that will have the greatest impact on the citizens of San Diego. We raise all the funds that we grant through the annual Jewel Ball in August at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. The Jewel Ball is San Diego’s most prestigious social event and a cherished tradition for our many long-time guests. Las Patronas is committed to providing financial assistance to nonprofit organizations in San Diego County that provide valuable community services in the areas of health, education, social services, and cultural arts, and to continuing our tradition of service to enhance the quality of life in our community.
