Where Luxury Travel Meets Purpose

Based in San Diego and Orange County, Kim Parizek, a San Diego County resident for 34 years, and Janet Semenova, from Laguna Beach, bring nearly 30 years of combined experience designing journeys that do not just impress – they transform. Each has a unique story that shaped her love of travel, curiosity about the world, and understanding of the importance of giving back.

Kim grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She fondly recalls one Sunday after church when she and friends went to grab a bucket of chicken and sit at the end of the runway to watch a rare event in town – a 727 landing at the local airport. The idea that the plane had come from somewhere and was headed somewhere else sparked her imagination about the places she could go. Her wanderlust continued as she later lived in Florence, Italy, and Brussels, Belgium, where her love of travel deepened.

Janet was born in Uzbekistan and, at age seven, began a new life in Chicago when her mother moved them there in search of better opportunities. With no English, she adapted to a new world but maintained her connection to her roots, still speaking Russian and some Hebrew from time spent in Israel. These experiences gave her a deep understanding of different cultures and perspectives.

Both Kim and Janet have lived abroad and traveled to every continent except Antarctica – though they have sent many clients there and are only a matter of time away from stepping onto the icy continent themselves. For Boutique Travel Advisors, travel is not just a getaway; it is an opportunity to connect, inspire, and give back.

In San Diego, BTA proudly partners with the San Diego Automotive Museum, supporting programs like the Ignite Academy. Over the past three years, the BTA has donated trips that helped raise $30,000 at the annual Party in the Park, offering exclusive experiences ranging from the Grand Prix in Monza to curated trips in London and New York City.

Giving back is central to BTA’s mission. The agency also works with organizations including Make-A-Wish, the Phoenix Symphony, PTSD Now, and CASA of Orange County, supporting initiatives and galas through travel donations that fund these meaningful causes.

Whether it is family adventures, romantic escapes, cultural experiences, or wellness and arts programs, BTA ensures every journey leaves a lasting impact. Clients do not just explore the world—- they become part of a larger mission, supporting communities through thoughtful, purposeful travel planning.

With Kim Parizek and Janet Semenova at the helm, Boutique Travel Advisors proves that travel can be extraordinary and meaningful. It is where luxury meets heart, where every trip tells a story, and every journey makes a difference.
