The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park’s Conrad Prebys 2023 summer season is sure to be an unforgettable experience for music lovers of all kinds. With a diverse lineup of performers and a stunning waterfront location, this season promises to be one like no other.

Beginning with its Opening Night classical concert on June 30, the San Diego Symphony Orchestra will kick off the season with Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances and the West Coast Premiere of Roberto Sierra’s Salseando featuring trumpet player Pacho Flores and conducted by Music Director Rafael Payare.

The following night, San Diego rock n’ roll favorites The Beach Boys will once more grace The Rady Shell stage, in a hit-filled presentation that is sure to have you dancing along and ready to have “fun, fun, fun” all summer. Rounding out the opening weekend of The Rady Shell Conrad Prebys 2023 Summer Season is the Symphony’s presentation of ARETHA: A Tribute on July 2, taking us through the repertoire of one of music’s greatest artists, featuring a star-studded guest artist lineup and the San Diego Symphony Orchestra.

Danitza Villanueva was born in San Diego but spent her youth with her family in Tijuana and grew up on both sides of the border. She has transferred her unique insight of cross-border culture, trends and philanthropy to her business and community interests. Danitza is the first woman from her family to graduate from college. She has two degrees, one from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Fashion Marketing, and a second from San Diego Christian College in Communications. After starting GB Magazine with Esteban Villanueva in 2007, she has gone on to win awards and recognition from the community for her support of helping raise millions of dollars for non-profit organizations. Currently she resides in East County in San Diego where she and her husband Esteban run DAESVI Publishing, home to GB Magazine, among several other publications.
