Be the Light – The 10th Anniversary Be the Light Gala, an evening of celebration and continued impact, features musical entertainment, small bites and dinner, event swag bags, moving testimonials from veteran recipients. All proceeds from the event will benefit Shelter to Soldier’s programs serving military, veterans, and homeless dogs.

Haute with Heart Fashion Show – This year will mark the 44th year for the St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center’s Haute with Heart fashion event. On August 13th, Haute with Heart will feature a fashion show, special up-lifting performances by their students, delicious luncheon, live auction, silent auction, opportunity drawing, and fabulous boutique shopping.

Lemon Festival – There’s nothing sour about the Third Avenue Village Association’s Lemon Festival which transforms downtown Chula Vista into a lemon-filled oasis. Under the Stars – On August 20, the 26th annual Symphony at Salk is a spectacular evening under the stars featuring guest artist Ben Platt. The evening is attended by Salk supporters who comprise San Diego’s most prominent leaders in science, philanthropy, government, media and industry. Guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner on the courtyard amidst Louis Kahn’s masterwork of modern architecture.
