Inspiring Change
National Philanthropy Day was conceived in the 1980s, and the first official event was held in 1986 after President Ronald Reagan signed an official NPD proclamation. The day provides an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of giving and all that it has made possible. NPD in San Diego celebrated the endless daily contributions individuals and organizations across the city make to our community.
National Philanthropy Day se instauró en 1980, teniendo su primer evento oficial en 1986 con la firma oficial de la proclamación NPD por el presidente Ronald Reagan. Esta fecha es una oportunidad para reflexionar sobre nuestra solidaridad y sobre lo que la hace posible. NPD en San Diego quiere celebrar las infinitas contribuciones por parte de individuos u organizaciones de la ciudad que se hacen constantemente en beneficio de nuestra comunidad.
