Since 1983, Make-A-Wish San Diego has been granting thousands of wishes for children with critical illnesses in San Diego and Imperial Counties. This summer, the organization teamed up with the San Diego Padres to grant its 4,000th wish in our community. Six-year-old Cai had the surprise of a lifetime in front of a packed ballpark when his wish to have a family camping trailer was revealed live on the field. The wish was unveiled by 80 of Cai’s friends, family and medical team who supported him throughout his journey with leukemia.
From unique wishes to fundraising events, there is always something exciting happening at Make-A-Wish.
On September 30th, Napa’s hottest wineries are flying down to bring Napa to you! Thanks to Wine Chair Dustin Cano, and Meritage Wine Market, boutique winemakers and owners will be showcasing limited and small production wines from their collection in an exclusive wine tasting event benefiting Make-A-Wish San Diego. To accompany the exquisite selection of wines, enjoy extraordinary tastes from renowned San Diego chefs and also tastings from local indie craft breweries. The event will be co-hosted by NBC7 San Diego’s Monica Dean and Wish Child Violet, warrior, princess, superhero, overcomer and featured guest on The Ellen Show.
