Something’s Cooking at The del
On September 22nd, 25 of the most talented chefs from San Diego and Baja will compete in the Chef Throwdown benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Guests will get to try exquisite appetizers and vote for their favorite participant followed by a dinner prepared by last year’s winner, Chef Rob Ruiz.

Achieving Inner Balance
Improve your life and achieve inner balance by attending one or both mindfulness teachings led by Jim Cahill at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar. The first event on September 16th will focus on a heart-based approach while the December 2nd teaching will be geared toward a mind-body approach to sleep.

Showcasing Military Culture
The GI Film Festival will feature films that bring to light the reality of America’s military life as well as a Local Film Showcase that will specifically focus on San Diego military culture. Attendees will also get to experience panel discussions, screenings, and an awards celebration from October 18th-22nd.
Fiestas de Independencia
Whether you live north or south of the border, you can celebrate Mexican Independence Day and their valiant revolt against the Spanish government. Festivities in Tijuana start at 11 p.m., but you can join in the fun on both sides of the border.
