Holidays at the Del… Deck the palms this holiday season as the Hotel Del Coronado transforms into a winter wonderland. The Del will be overrun with merriment including an ice rink and the DeLights experience. In the spirit of giving, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego.
Wacky Wony Wonderland… On December 11th, the San Diego Center for Children’s Wacky Wonky Wonderland will have holiday activities, live music, treats, and two infamous guests – Santa and Willy Wonka! To attend, please bring an unwrapped toy, gift card, or donation of $25 or more which will benefit the organization and their efforts.
Ales n’ Rails… Are you a local craft beer lover? Have an unfortunately festive sweater that needs a little TLC? Join the San Diego Model Railroad Museum on December 16th for their ugly sweater fundraiser. Attendees will sip on local craft beer while enjoying exhibits and some of the ugliest sweaters in town.
Expedition at Sea… The new interactive exhibit, Expedition at Sea, welcomes Research Vessel Sally Ride to the Scripps Institution of Oceanography fleet. Visitors will get an in-depth look at the abilities of R/V Sally Ride by taking a virtual tour, exploring deep-ocean artifacts, and taking a glimpse into the daily lives of researchers.
Holiday Half Marathon… On December 18th, runners will gather for the 4th Annual San Diego Holiday Half Marathon. Participants have just over 3 hours to travel 13.1 miles from Peñasquitos Drive to Torrey Pines State Beach. With beautiful weather and a festive theme, this event promises fun for both runners and spectators.
