GTK CENTER FOR CHILDREN

This year marks the 125th anniversary for the oldest children’s non-profit in our city: the San Diego Center for Children. To commemorate this milestone, the Center for Children created a special Ambassador Program, enlisting community-minded leaders and organizations that support the Center, recognize its remarkable history and its innovative vision for the mental health and well-being of each child in San Diego.

Each member of this legacy group has committed to contribute $5,000 towards the campaign, all with the common goal of establishing a landmark gift of $125,000 to honor the Center’s history in the San Diego community. The Ambassador Program is led by Co-Chairs, Ann and Ben Haddad, who have been generous supporters of the organization for more than 12 years.

“The Center for Children is an indispensable part of our community,” the Haddads tell Giving Back Magazine. “Its dedicated staff truly makes a difference each and every day in the lives of some our most vulnerable children. We are honored to chair this milestone campaign.”

It is not too late to learn more about becoming an Ambassador and joining this distinguished family of philanthropic individuals and companies. For more information, please call Alison Beck at (858) 569-2112.

The San Diego Center for Children would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the Ambassadors leaving such a last impression on the children and teens helped every day at the Center.

A Special Salute

After serving in her staff role at the San Diego Center for Children for more than three years, the Center would like to make a special salute to Rana Sampson, Vice President, Development and Marketing. This signature year for the Center marks Rana’s final one on staff before beginning travels abroad; but her passion, dedication and enthusiasm for the kids at the Center is steadfast, and the Center anticipates her role as a key volunteer upon her return!

Rana embodies the Ambassador spirit, not only as a donor to the organization, but as the founder and implementer of numerous programs that help meet very critical and very specific needs for the kids at the Center.

A very warm “Thank You” to Honorary Ambassador, Rana Sampson!
