During the Salk Women & Science at the Salk Institute, Salk Institute Professor Susan Kaech and Associate Professor Janelle Ayres shared their expertise on using microbes to boost the immune system and improve our health. The panel discussion and audience Q&A preceded a cocktail reception. Salk Women & Science is an ongoing program that engages women in the community with leaders in biological science and technology. Funds raised provide special awards to female scientists conducting high-risk research projects.
