I have always been drawn into my Community! My drive to be with people and make a positive difference in my “home town” is always of top priority. The Beach and Country Guild won my soul and heart with its amazing group of energizing women, and the cause that is our sole beneficiary, United Cerebral Palsy of San Diego. My community spirit continues with present support, interest and future goals with the San Diego Zoo, San Diego Opera, CF Foundation, and the Old Globe Theatre.

Philanthropy is a vital part of my life, and I have used this passion along with an expertise in special event production to raise awareness for a variety of worthy causes. As a member and former President of the Beach & Country Guild, my focus is supporting United Cerebral Palsy through the Guild’s production of multiple charitable functions. I cherish my personal time with UCP and will continue to work towards the goal of a “life without limits” for people with a spectrum of disabilities.

Volunteering as a resource teacher when I was 19 energized my sense of civic responsibility. I later became a Special Education Teacher and was inspired on a daily basis. I continued to volunteer in D.C. where I helped run a non-profit. I left teaching and started a business, but never turned a blind eye to service. Three years ago, I moved to San Diego where I work with an amazing team who support my time with the Guild, and have a passion for giving back. I’m honored to be part of The Guild, and am inspired by the extraordinary enthusiasm of my fellow Board members.

I have always enjoyed giving back to the San Diego Community and have served on several Boards including, San Diego Opera, March of Dimes-San Diego, North Coast Repertory Theatre and San Diego Cares. The Beach and Country Guild provide a very rewarding experience that provides heartfelt and hands-on assistance to meet the very specific needs of those challenged by Cerebral Palsy. I am especially pleased to be a member of the Beach and Country Guild and I look forward to helping make a difference for years to come.
