The Country Friends.

For over 60 years, The Country Friends has supported charities by providing funding to help them achieve their missions to help those in need. The non-profit organization specifically works with groups providing human care services primarily for women, children, the elderly and individuals with disabilities. The Country Friends has been able to make these charitable donations through membership fees, sponsorships, the proceeds from their boutique and their unique fundraising events.

One such event is The Art of Fashion presented by South Coast Plaza. Organized by co-chairs Maggie Bobileff and Denise Hug, the show will be held at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. Now in its 13th year, the annual fashion show will honor Jenny Craig and brings out supporters from across the region. The focal point of the elegant event is the runway fashion show featuring breathtaking designs by well-known brands.

Fashion savvy guests will also indulge in several other luxurious experiences including shopping at mini boutiques as well as drawings for designer accessories and other coveted items. Of course, no event is complete without delicious food. Guests will be treated to a champagne reception prior to the fashion show and after the show, attendees will gather for the Luncheon on the Lawn.

Each year, the recipient organizations are carefully selected by The Country Friends. The 2017 beneficiaries include over 40 agencies such as Miracle Babies, Voices for Children, Canine Companions, San Diego Food Bank and Promises 2 Kids, to name a few. It is clear that since 1954 this outstanding organization has remained true to its mission and has improved the lives of many San Diegans with over $14 million in funding.
