Play. Win. Together. A prized combination for a community celebration.
Sycuan Casino celebrates its 33rd Anniversary this month, and since its opening of its doors to the community in 1983, it has always had a philanthropic heart for the region. What started as a 20,000 square-foot gaming facility called “Sycuan Bingo Palace,” founded by the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation, is now San Diego’s longest-running operational casino. For this year’s birthday, Sycuan’s guests are seeing 3s all over as it continues to celebrate 33 days of festivities, topping it off with a huge cake and more on Saturday November 19th, and the whole community is invited for a slice of the fun!
The month-long festivity is jingling with over $500,000 in cash and prizes that will be given away up to the big day. With a guaranteed $10,000 per night giveaway to one lucky Club Sycuan Member in the casino leading up to the celebration, a chance to win big is also in store: $33,000 in cash on the final night of the anniversary jubilee. Along with live music and entertainment, commemorative giveaways, a cake-cutting and cupcakes for all, Native American dancers and singers, there will be plenty for all to enjoy. This year alone, there have been a run of large jackpots with multiple winners taking home several millions of dollars! Sure, there are winners every single day, but the recent jackpot wins have been extraordinary.
The anniversary celebration is not only a way to honor the casino’s important milestone, but also for Sycuan to thank its guests and organizations it has partnered with over the years. It is these ties to the community that have made the Band such a treasured partner in San Diego.
Over the years, Sycuan’s generosity has touched thousands of organizations from the South Bay, to East County, to North County, up to Orange County. Every non-profit sector has benefitted from the altruism of Sycuan; the Nation is honored to be able to support the military, animal protection, health, education, arts, law enforcement and many more. Whether the Band is contributing to a small local organization or an outfit with national reach, they are proud that their involvement is impacting missions in and around San Diego and that the funding stays local.
It has always been this forward-thinking that the Tribal Council embodies that has allowed them to become part of the community for so long and is appreciative of its success as a result of their contributions to the region.
The generosity of Sycuan Casino with community partners will always continue as part of their culture, but it also knows how to thank their guests.
