The San Diego Symphony’s Tux ‘n Tennies started off the splendid Summer Pops series with their Summer Bash on the Bay: A Tribute to the Beach Boys. The tide of patrons arrived to vintage Woody automobiles, drinks and hors d’oeuvres and a concert that had everyone signing along and dancing to Brian Wilson’s tunes. The bayfront concert ended with spectacular fireworks and funds raised benefitted the Symphony’s music education programs, which annually reach 65,000 students in the region.
