USO San Diego’s Celebrates A Night of Military Heroes
For more than seven decades, the USO has a very rich history of standing by our troops and their families – from the moment they join the military, throughout their time in service and as they transition to civilian life – the USO is there for them. Every single day for 73 years, USO staff and volunteers in charter centers around the world have delivered countless moments of service, comfort, support and entertainment to our U.S. Armed Forces. As a center for the San Diego area, USO San Diego provided more than 400,000 instances of service to our troops and their families last year.
On May 3, USO San Diego will celebrate A Night of Military Heroes as they host the 73rd Anniversary Stars and Stripes Ball at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina.
This spectacular evening of great purpose, great fun and great entertainment is a black-tie gala and USO San Diego’s largest fundraiser providing support for essential programs and services. Honorary Chairs include Joye Blount and Jessie Knight Jr., Jeanne Jones and Don Breitenberg, Olivia and Peter Farrell, Wendy Walker and Randall Woods and Betty and Robert Beyster. Co-chairs are Reena Horowitz, Leonetta Rence and Kathryn Vaughn. Attendees will enjoy dinner, dancing, silent/live auctions and a patriotic evening highlighting those who serve this great nation.
