Shark Tank
Eighteen hopeful contestants participated in the second annual Just In Time for Foster Youth “Shark Tank” inspired entrepreneurial competition for transition age foster youth. The participants submitted their business ideas to a panel of experts to vie for the grand prize and were narrowed down to four, then one final grand-prize winner. The judges included Dr. Jay Lichter, Managing Director Avalon Ventures, Margo Turner, CEO Powerminds, and Allen Maxwell, President & CEO Omni2Max Inc. The winner, Victoria Willis, received a $3,000 investment to jumpstart her dream business. Victoria was coached by Marty Goodman, long-time JIT volunteer and President of Henderson Properties, Inc. Shark Tank is just one of the many Just in Time services that builds skills in work readiness and entrepreneurship.
Dieciocho esperanzados participantes del Segundo “Shark Tank” anual de Jsut In Time for Foster Youth fueron motivo de inspiración para la competencia de emprendedores entre los jóvenes en guarda de edad transicional. Los participantes enviaron sus ideas empresariales a un panel de expertos para ser evaluadas, quedando cuatro participantes seleccionados y luego un solo ganador. Entre el jurado se encontraba el Dr. Jay Lichter, director general de Avalon Ventures, Margo Turner, CEO de Powerminds y Allen Maxwell, presidente y CEO de Omni2Max Inc. La ganadora fue Victoria Willis, quien recibió $ 3,000 en inversión para iniciar su sueño empresarial.
