2010 greets the centennial season for the San Diego Symphony and what better way to kick off the celebration than with the Summer Pops series. This year is no exception for the long standing musical excellence the symphony brings during our summer nights. 4th of July weekend ignites with principal pops conductor Marvin Hamlisch and a special Star Spangled Pops. Then get ready to turn back the funk with Kool & the Gang or turn the heat up with the sizzling Cuban salsa rhythms of Tiempo Libre. Love is in the air this summer as Mr. Burt Bacharach sets the mood by the cool bay breezes and LeAnne Rimes will enchant you with her string of hits ready for sailing away into the night. Even Toni Braxton will take the stage. Light up your senses this summer and come celebrate 100 years at the Embarcadero!
Now – September 5th.
