GTK-NALEO

The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) will assemble the largest gathering of Latino policymakers in the country for the NALEO 31st Annual Conference June 26-28 at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort.

For 31 years, the NALEO Annual Conference has offered a place for Latino policymakers to meet with their colleagues from all levels and parties of government to exchange ideas and address challenges and opportunities that face communities and our nation. Considered the nation’s premier Latino Political Convention, this year’s conference will feature more than 1,000 Latino public officials and supporters from across the country. Attendees will have the chance to hear from notable speakers including Governor of California Jerry Brown, California Attorney General Kamala Harris and Mexican Ambassador Eduardo Media Mora.

The conference will also feature panel discussions with policy leaders on various issues on the national agenda, including education, health, U.S. and Mexico Bi-national issues, political empowerment, economic development, municipal finance, pensions and water. The program will also include a track specially designed for newly elected officials. In addition, NALEO will hold a special plenary to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act and include special tributes to active members and veterans of the military throughout the conference.
