We’re With You.
Since their beginnings in 1961, Mission Federal Credit Union has been dedicated to strengthening, enriching, and improving the communities in which we live, work and play. Through regional partnerships with a children’s hospital, a food bank, schools, and over 200 nonprofit organizations directly committed to a healthier, stronger, vibrant and resilient San Diego County, they are on a mission to ensure that San Diego’s success is their bottom line.
Mission Fed’s ongoing drive to make San Diego not just America’s Finest City, but “America’s Kindest Region” focuses on a wide scope of targeted efforts, including:
- Art exposure: through sponsorship of the New Children’s Museum education programs, over 12,000 children from San Diego County Title I schools experience artistic exposure and several personal successes during their no-cost visit
- Teacher Support: during the school year, Mission Fed’s MAX Out My Class recognizes the dedication and passion that teachers devote to their students’ future and every Tuesday, Mission Fed visits a San Diego County school to award a classroom a $200 gift card
- Financial Literacy: Mission Fed JA Finance Park’s new partnership with the San Diego Unified School District means every 10th grade student in the District will have an opportunity to visit Mission Fed JA Finance Park and help students imagine who they want to be, give them hands-on tools and skills to plan for a financially secure future, and teach effective life choices
- Environmental preservation: Mission Fed’s longtime sponsorship of the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park’s Kids Free in October provided over 162,885 children ages 11 and under with free zoo and park admission to experience a fun day with their loved ones while learning about animal care and conservation science.
Their 204,000 members and 500 team members understand that communities work best when they work together.
