Mariana-Postlethwaite“I knew what I wanted to do since I was twelve years old, I had it in me since I passionately moved the Barbie and Ken doll house furniture, seriously….I believe passion is what makes the world turn and people conquer their fears and fulfill their dreams,” Mariana smiles telling GB.

Originally from Mexicali, Mariana went on to major in architecture in Guadalajara, Mexico at ITESO (IBERO) because that was the most formal career available to her. Mariana felt that interior design was much more intricate and intimate than architecture. Mariana now considers herself first an interior designer more than an architect, so instead of making structural plans her firm designs bathrooms, kitchens, closets, furniture and intricately detailed floor plans.

Mariana is proud of her successful interior design firm Casa Duhagon as she is fulfilling her dream. She is also passionate and proud to give back by helping raise funds for research to find a cure for Ovarian Cancer as this horrible disease took the life of her mother.

She spends her time between Mexicali and San Diego with her husband of three years and her adorable dog. Always moving forward, Mariana Postlethwaite’s creative force drives her business and her life.
